EXPANDING THE VISION

Beginning in 2014, JSDCL established six community satellites, using spaces in elementary schools in rural pockets of Dorado, Vega Alta, Toa Baja, Toa Alta and Vega Baja. These libraries open from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm and provide classes for adults, teens and children, early education play areas with books and toys, computers and connection via reliable internet to Jane Stern Dorado’s digital resources. Before Hurricane María, the Jane Stern Library system recorded an astonishing 53,234 visits (FY 2016-17).

After the double blows of María and school closings, we are working to bring all of our communities back!  Join us in working toward an ever-brighter future!
